Description: Overall 5+ years experience of hands-on Java/J2EE development.
- Responsible for design and development of application using Java/J2EE technology.
- Responsible for developing quick prototypes for the planned product features as needed.
- Work with key engineers and managers to establish and enforce best practices for delivery of high quality software.
- Participate in the development of detailed technical design documents and in design reviews.
- Play an active role in key architecture and implementation decisions in the User interface.
Skills:
- Experienced in large-scale Java/J2EE application development, Object-oriented methodology and database connectivity.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must. In addition, the individual must be a quick learner, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Strong product development skills that includes product lifecycle knowledge. Scrum/Agile methodology is preferable.
- Experience with SOA, Web Services, SOAP highly preferred.
- Exposure to IVR and/or speech technology is desirable

Description: Due to continued growth, PointSource is currently seeking a J2EE Developer/SOA Architect with experience building and delivering large scale, complex SOA projects. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10+ years of experience. This position is located in San Jose, CA. Candidates outside of San Jose are welcome to apply, however, it is understood that 100% travel to San Jose for the next 4-6 months will be required.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10+ years of experience and be a self starter. This individual will be able to recognize opportunities with clients to improve existing business processes and be able to suggest solutions utilizing a variety of technologies and platforms as well. Therefore, a high level understanding of current technologies, platforms, methodologies and strategies will provide a solid foundation to assist our clients in enabling their businesses through business process optimization solutions.
Responsibilities:
- The project manager will be responsible for the overall execution and delivery of projects to PointSource's clients.
- Providing effective communication with all stakeholders of the project proactively is critical.
- Anticipate risks and effectively communicate these issues to management, along with creative solutions, is expected.
- The project manager will be responsible for the project schedule, budget, scope and overall quality.
- Providing written documentation and formalized processes within projects is also required.
- Oversight of multiple project teams in a variety of development environments and methods, including agile development methodologies.
- Maintain and build knowledge of current technologies, platforms, methodologies and strategies to support existing projects or create opportunities with existing clients.
- Identifies new business opportunities.
