Actus Lend Lease (Actus) is the nation's leader in public/private community development. With a focus on creating sustainable value, Actus Lend Lease communities are unrivaled in their attention to design, technology and environmental sensitivity. Within its development portfolio, Actus manages numerous military housing communities across the United States. Each community publishes its own web site with the purpose of distributing information to current, arriving and departing residents. Managing content for these sites proved challenging, as the marketing and administrative resources that develop the web content were typically geographically separated from the web programmers. Additionally, the content developers required a means to push content live in real time.

Actus Lend Lease engaged PointSource to develop a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) that enabled its marketing resources to manage their community's web content without the prerequisite of having web development skills. PointSource developed a custom CMS with easy to use web administration tools that could be rapidly deployed to multiple sites. Each individual site is based on a template design and is also easily and rapidly customizable using the 40+ modules included with the simple administration tools.

With the deployment of this custom CMS, content administrators for each community are now able to quickly add, edit and remove content - including news articles, events, web pages and community and housing information - using only the CMS web tools for their site. These web administration tools also provide the ability to manage web statistics, color schemes and form content & submittals. Access controls allow the content managers to submit content for approval prior to activation by the site administrator.
