PointSource officially announced the launch of Same Place Same Time (SPST), an application hosted by Facebook. SPST leverages users' facebook networks allowing them to identify when they will be in the same place at the same time in the future. The application can be added by linking directly to the Same Place Same Time Facebook page.
"Whether you are in your home town or on a trip, SPST will alert you through Facebook or email when friends or family will be in the same location as you. This is not a GPS application that informs you at the last minute that you are near someone. Same Place Same Time will tell you weeks or months in advance, as soon as you and your friend have both logged your future locations which Overlap." said Chris Hugill, President of PointSource.
"Same Place Same Time will power your Facebook network to ensure that you don't miss a chance to meet with a friend or family member when you are in the same place at the same time."
